travel europe germany bavaria dinkelsbuhl children's festival

The Dinkelsbuhl Children's Festival, Kinderzeche Dinkelsbuhl - Historic Festival, is an event to plan a vacation around.
Legend has it that the children of Dinkelsbuhl saved the city by appealing to the leader of the invading Swedish army.
Each year, the event is re-enacted with Swedish troops camped outside the town
and the children and city officials marching through town to appeal to their conquerers.
